What is Digistain Breast?
Digistain Breast is a laboratory test. It looks at the chemistry of a small sample of the tumour that was removed during your operation.
It gives your clinical team information about the risk of the cancer coming back. Your clinical team will use this result to help decide on the right treatment for you.
Who is it for?
It is for women with a common type of early breast cancer, called hormone receptor-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer.
Your doctor will tell you whether the test is suitable for you.
When will the result be ready?
The result usually reaches your clinical team within one to two days of your sample arriving at the laboratory. When you hear about it depends on when your team next meets to discuss your care. [MDT-TIMELINE WORDING TO CONFIRM WITH PPI REVIEW]
