One measurement, studied across cancers
The Digistain Index measures aneuploidy, the chromosomal instability behind aggressive tumours. Published work reports tumour copy-number alteration burden as a pan-cancer prognostic factor for recurrence and death (Hieronymus et al., eLife, 2018). That is the scientific rationale for extending beyond breast cancer.
